About London Heat Pumps

Customers often ask me what my background is.  As director and lead engineer at London Heat Pumps my post graduate career started as an Engineering Consultant, office based and full of paperwork. Whilst working in the Middle East I became more and more interested in renewable energy installations and decided to return home with the goal of becoming a qualified installer and moving into renewable energy consultation. This was in 2009, I set up an installation company and installed over hundreds heating systems across London including many solar and heat pump installations with a small team of qualified and trainee installers. It was during the pandemic that I had the bit of quiet time to reassess what direction the company was heading in and made the decision to start London Heat Pumps, working solely on air source heat pump installations, a technology I've always believed in !  The small group of dedicated installers who work with me are also extremely experienced in the renewable energy field. We offer a highly unusual skillset covering engineering, plumbing, electrical installation and testing and general building. This means we can take a job from survey to completion and certification all within the team and without the need for subcontractors. We feel this dramatically reduces risk for the customer and provides much higher quality installation with easy access to our expertise in the follow up weeks and months as you get to grips with your new heating system.
